Some days working on your business feels like you’re stuck on a stationary bike: you’re pedaling fast and working hard, but you just can’t seem to get anywhere. And that’s partly because you feel like you have to make up for the knowledge and productivity gap in your employees. Which means, for everything that needs to be done, you may talk about “we” but you really mean “me.” The challenges of the pandemic have just made everything harder.
With over 10 million job openings (a record high), the priority must be to retain and grow your current employees.
Evidence suggests that a boss’s competence is the greatest influence on employees’ job satisfaction, performance & retention.
Investing in your people pays big dividends. It’s harder to get a job at convenience store QuikTrip than it is to get into Harvard.
It sounds crazy, but bigger and bolder are often easier. Imagine a business that nearly runs itself, where you could take a day off or even a week-long vacation without having to check in.
Imagine a team that anticipates opportunities and challenges and designs new products, services, or processes to meet them.
Imagine being recognized as much for your employment practices as the business itself, so that when you have an opening to fill, you have a line around the block of people wanting to work for you.
And when everyone goes home for the day, they can relax and really be present for the family and friends they care about.
What if everyone felt like they were doing the best work of their lives and creating the building blocks for an even better future?
We know this is possible because collectively we’ve supported countless teams and small businesses to transform how they work together. In our experience there are 3 things owners need to develop:
The Bounce Forward program works with women and minority-owned small businesses with 3 to 49 employees to expand their leadership and coaching skills, engage employees as strategic partners, accelerate sustainable recovery, and create a better quality of life for owners, employees, and their communities.
Bounce Forward works with a cohort of 10 -15 businesses over an 8-week period and includes a blend of online learning, live coaching, and exercises/reflections you can do on your own time. The cost of the program is $300 per business and includes:
Jim Rohn famously said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Likewise, we believe a business is only as agile and creative as all the employees in it—and this distinction is what enables businesses to push past previous barriers and become the economic engine of their community.
We begin on October 11th and only have 15 spots for this initial cohort.
